Postal Inspector Class Action

In a decision issued on February 1, 2013, the EEOC finally certified the class action against the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.  The EEOC initially granted class certification in 2012, but the agency sought reconsideration of the decision.

Under the EEOC order, the agency will send written notices regarding class certification to all class members.

This formal class complaint was filed on March 29, 2005 by Paulette Jones. The class complaint alleges that the U.S. Postal Inspection Service discriminates against African American females in promotion opportunities.
