ASSESSMENT PANEL MONITORING VOLUNTEER

The Burden v. Barnhart class action settlement established a provision that permits volunteers to serve as monitors on assessment panels. Volunteers will attend sessions held by promotion panels and observe the process to ensure all applicants are given fair and impartial consideration.

To be eligible to serve as a panel monitor, you must be a current employee of the Social Security Administration. There are no grade restrictions. Training will be provided for all volunteers.
