Sexual Harassment

Pensacola, Florida against the Department of Army

In a sexual harassment case against the Department of the Army, our clients were subjected to nearly a decade of sexual harassment in Pensacola, Florida. The senior civilian manager at the facility engaged in a unrelenting barrage of sexual comments, inappropriate touching and abusive treatment. Our clients had complained repeatedly to upper management and the Inspector General, but nothing was done to curb the harassment. After our firm became involved in litigating the case, we amassed so much evidence that the harassing manager was forced to retire. The harassing manager tried to minimize his appalling conduct by claiming that “boys will be boys” and that he meant no harm by his unwelcome comments and advances. Rather than put the harassing manager on the witness stand at trial, the Army conceded liability. We secured six-figure compensatory damages awards for both of our clients, full attorney fees and other relief. Our clients were finally able to put the nightmare behind them and move on with their lives.
